Greetings friends! In the first part of our two-part Stamper Cinema Spooktacular series, we'll be tackling zombie films. Specifically, two fantastic Asian zombie films. #Alive (South Korea, 2020) and One Cut of the Dead (Japan, 2017).
Both of these films are worth watching, albeit for two entirely different reasons. Helping navigate through this episode, both a Stamper Cinema regular and my kid brother, Nathan. Enjoy!
Stamper Cinema movie Scores:
#Alive - 7/10
One Cut of the Dead - 9/10

Editors Note - I twice incorrectly reference #Alive having a $13 million budget. The $13 million number I'm citing is actually #Alive's box office return. Though, I suspect Alive's budget is much lower.

In this episode of Stamper Cinema we break down the 1994 cult-classic, Wes Craven's New Nightmare with resident Freddy Krueger expert Diandra Lazor. I can't say enough about how great an episode this one is. Diandra is, without the slightest hint of embellishment, an absolute treat. Enjoy!

When it comes to neighbors, things aren't always as they appear. While your neighbor may be weird and you may think he's a serial killer (or even a vampire), he probably isn't. But in cinema? All bets are off. In this mini episode I break down the nosy neighbor sub-genre and chat about 4 of my favorite films that use this trope to perfection. Enjoy!

In this episode we talk about life, the after life, what game we would challenge the Reaper over - and a serious discussion over offensive language that was used in the film. We also cover other offensive, outdated cultural depictions used in family entertainment. Enjoy!
