Greetings! This week's episode is going to be extra awesome, as NAOMI BEATY (screenplay consultant / screenwriting instructor) is here to chat with us about about the movie writing process. She may even share a few best practices she's learned during her acclaimed career. I dunno, you'll probably have to listen to know for sure!
Oh! And because it's October - we're gonna discuss a scary movie or two... specifically Ti West's 2022 sexy slasher, X. Enjoy!

Welcome to another episode of Stamper Cinema! In this discussion I am joined by musician & Napa wine guy, Ezekiel Hampton to cover all things True Romance (1993).
We get into our favorite scenes from the Quentin Tarantino written, Tony Scott directed crime adventure that literally has everything and everyone! Oh, we also discuss the Hans Zimmer original score - which you may learn is not so original. Enjoy!

Hello! I'm beyond excited to share this week's episode with you. I'm joined by writer Dylan James Quarles (The Ruins of Mars) to talk about the 90s Luc Besson sci-fi, action-adventure, but sometimes also love story, The Fifth Element.
Topics covered range from Paul Verhoeven to 'maximalism' to Gary Oldman's chameleon-like greatness to the odd sexualization of an alien-baby universe savior.
Food for thought: can you think of any other films in the history of cinema where the film's good guy doesn't actually ever have a scene with the film's bad guy?
Enjoy! Don't forget to subscribe and leave a review!

Hi there! In this episode we're going back to the biggest film of 1982. Okay, well maybe not. But today's film still holds a warm place in my heart - as well as this week's guest - Bob Thompson. Of course, we're talking about the film that introduced us to songs like 'Reproduction,' 'Back to School' and 'Lets do it for our Country' (as well as introduced me to Michelle Pfeiffer). That's right - Grease 2! *Standing ovation*
And while it's argued this film may have killed the franchise it still gave us incredible banger track after banger track that rivals even the original Grease's soundtrack. Yes, I mean that with absolute sincerity. Don't judge me! Just sit back and enjoy the smooth sounds of this week's show.

No, you didn't misread that - this is a (nearly) 4-hour episode. I'd say enjoy, but let's be real - there's not a chance in hell you're listening to this entire episode (even if it is a really entertaining ride). With that in mind, here's what I'm gonna do - I'll give you a brief Act breakdown of when John and I talk about stuff... oh yeah, John's back! Annnd he's live!
Act One (0 - 70 minutes)
Intro

Act Four (183 minutes - end)

Oh yeah, this episode commemorates the 2-year anniversary of Stamper Cinema. We're just getting started y'all!
